Meet Andi- Andi‘s story begins with pain no dog should ever know. She was thrown out of a home and left to survive on the streets with her brother, Dwight. When we found her, she was in heartbreaking condition, covered in bites, weak, and carrying the invisible weight of cruelty from the very people who should have protected her. It was clear she had learned early on that the world could be a frightening place. When Andi first arrived at the garden, she was afraid of everything. She didn’t trust, and she kept her distance from humans. She didn’t yet understand their kindness. But she never stopped watching…as if quietly hoping that maybe something different was possible. And slowly, gently, that hope began to grow. Through patience, softness, and steady love, Andi started to change. Little by little, she learned that not every touch hurts , that not every voice brings fear. Now she is happy when she sees familiar faces. She leans in for pets, and if you pause, she gently edges closer asking in her quiet way not to let the moment end. Andi is a sensitive soul. She doesn’t give her heart quickly. She will need time, patience and a calm, understanding family to continue helping her heal.
