Meet Watermelon- Watermelon’s story is one of quiet resilience and patience. She was saved from a shelter during the team’s April 2025 trip to Türkiye, and shortly after her rescue, it was discovered that she was pregnant. Watermelon went on to give birth to a beautiful litter of puppies, all of whom quickly had long lists of people eager to adopt them. While her puppies were easily chosen, Watermelon herself has been waiting. Watermelon is a people-loving dog who truly thrives on human connection. She adores attention, enjoys being close to her people, and is highly food motivated—she’ll happily do just about anything for a treat. She’s an active girl who would likely make a wonderful hiking or adventure companion and would love a home that enjoys getting outside. After giving so much of herself and watching her babies find homes, Watermelon is hoping it’s finally her turn.
